The Roadtrip

Today Jeroen and I took the cab and went for a really nice road trip through the Dutch country side. We had to take the boat ”pont” to get across to the other side. Im wearing on of my favorite tank tops from 5 preview size M.

C’est Ca

If you are ever in Utrecht, Holland a visit to C’est Ca is a must. The concept is perfect, you get a 5 course meal which is preset so you basically eat food that you don’t do otherwise which is exquisite.

This little or might I say long penis like creation was our first course. It’s a panco fried white asparagus with lamb terrine and wasabi mayo, truly delicious. And of course a Leffe is custom as the pre drink.

A menu full of fairy tails about the origin of the food, is what it basically says in Dutch meaning that there is no such thing as food with a pure background.

The fifth dish, the Dutch cheese platter which truly melted in my mouth, I had a lovely fig/ raisin sweet vine that took the taste to another level.

My Home, well some parts of it..

Here are finally som pics of my house, well parts of it anyway.. This is my big living room. It used to be walls surrounding the kitchen and where you can see parts of the cosy corner there used to be a bedroom. I just love open spaces, so the walls had to go.
Sofa from IKEA, nice to look at, thats why I bought it, but its horrible to sit in. SUPER hard. Dining room table from MIO, chairs from Kartell, Louis Ghost. Painting by Michael Kadaz bought on Lauritz.com.

I dont really have a hall. You basically step straight into the kitchen, so this is kind of a temporary solution. My intention is to make a big mirror wardrobe here for all my shoes, bags and jackets. It cant be too deep though cuse i only have 40 cm to work with here but that will do. The shelves that I use now are one of the best things that IKEA has ever done. They cost 100 SEK and they are so nice and simple in zink. I think i have about 15 of them spread out through the house. They just blend in everywhere.
The kitchen is integrated with the living room and thats just the way I like it. Who wants to have a little kitchen and stand there alone cooking the food? Here you can socialize. Both from the bar, kitchen table and living room.
My mum bought this porslin Tiger on an auktion in Denmark in the eighties and its one of my all time favorite interior decorations. Its sleazy, cool and colorful. I’ve had it forever and you won´t see me letting go of this little baby, but maybe its time that the hat came of because I cant really say he is freezing anymore.
Carpet Missoni. The chandelier is from my grandfather, its old.
Chandelier from granpa again, he used to sell them back in the fifties. Chairs Kartell by Louis Ghost, the same as in the living room. Carpet from IKEA, aslo the same as in the living room. One of my favorite decoration details is the earth globe lamp. I have two of them one here and one in my bedroom I bought them both on second hand shops.

Photo by David La Chapelle who is one of my favorite photographers. I like obscene pictures which take you to the edge of what is ok to show and then back again. I guess you can say that i like to shocked by photos. It amuses me and I guess that is part of why I like David LaChapelle so much.

Ive named this part of the house, The cosy corner. This part is were GP ( the newspaper Göteborgs Posten) took pictures when they interviewed me. Photos from allposters.com, Sofa IKEA, chandelier second hand, mirror table frejas boning.

Today I was interviewed by a journalist from GP ( Göteborgs Posten) you will see the result on page 2 in GP Bostad, it will probably not be out until this fall but as we swedes say.. He who waits for something nice, never waits to long.. The interview was about the blog and isacouture.com. Hope it will turn out ok, it feelt like it went good.. Loving the new jacket from Valerie btw. Shiny shiny, bling, bling gold the way I like it.

Loveing Lauritz.com – Patchwork carpet

Well, technically its not my carpet, its my moms and it arrived today from Lauritz.com ( the best online site to get good affordable interior stuff, and not shit like you get at blocket..) Anywho, im loving it and I get to keep it a couple of months until she drags this little baby down to their house in spain. But feel no dispair, cuse i won an action today on a similar carpet, just a tiny bit smaller that will get here next week som im really happy with that. Necklace, my favorite eye candy from Second Female Noa in Pink and T-shirt Elise also from Second Female.

Outside Furniture, Check..

Ok, so after have buying the chandelier my budget was a littl bit more tight and therefore no new furniture for outside, but i snatched these little wooden babies from mom and dads attic. They had never been used but I think they got them in the eighties so there well over 30 years, but still classy in my opinion. Blocking Necklace Second Female, t-shirt 5 Preview.

Chandelier in place, check..

Finally, i found it. After searching on lauritz, blocket and lots of special stores I found my dream chandelier at a Second Hand shop at Hisingen in Gothenburg. Almost bought, or so i thought a chandelier the other day from blocket, but when the seller pulled out another chandelier from his car than the one in the ad i wasnt to happy. It had 8 arms instead of ten and was about 50 cm to short.. He had also painted the frame in gold color himself, need I say more.. Did he honestly think that i would notice? Anywho, now I have this baby.. wieee.
A little bit to long at first, but that was easily fixed.

This little baby, had my name on it.
The best way to transport a chandelier is in a sheet.
